Chiropractic care is a patient-centred, hands-on discipline that focuses on the spine, muscles, joints and nervous system. Chiropractors are regulated health professionals and are designated as primary-contact practitioners which means you do not require a referral to visit.
Our chiropractors Dr. Rynne, Dr. Toth and Dr. Gelinas use the best available evidence and clinical expertise to evaluate, diagnose, recommend and deliver a treatment plan to help your body function at its best. They focus on restoring the body’s natural movement in order to alleviate pain, improve function and prevent injury.
Diversified Spinal Manipulation Therapy – using their hands to guide your joint(s) through a range of motion and apply a gentle, controlled force, our chiropractors help to restore normal motion and improve joint function.
Soft Tissue Mobilization Techniques – using either their hands or a handheld tool our chiropractors massage specific muscles and regions to relax tension and relieve pain.
Acupuncture – involves inserting thin needles virtually painlessly into the skin at particular pressure points in order to relieve pain. These needles may be attached to an electric stimulation machine that creates gentle pulses in order to increase the effect of the acupuncture treatment.
Myofascial Cupping Therapy – Silicone cups are applied to treatment areas in order to increase blood flow and promote tissue healing and repair. “Cupping” is also effective in relieving pain and helping improve muscular function.
Kinesiotaping – Our chiropractors use a specially designed soft, tension-loaded stretchy tape that is applied to the body in order to correct faulty movement patterns, improve posture, and decrease swelling and pain.
Stretching – Our chiropractors use various stretching techniques in order to help relax tightened muscles and restore proper joint motion and mobility.
Exercise Prescription – Exercises are often used in conjunction with other treatment therapies to help build strength, balance, and flexibility and to help rehabilitate injuries, prevent future injury and increase overall performance.
TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) – this therapy uses low voltage electrical current applied to the skin through adhesive pads in order to provide pain relief. It can have lasting effects even after the treatment is over.
When needed, our chiropractors work collaboratively with other healthcare practitioners within the clinic including physicians, physiotherapists, massage therapists, naturopaths, chiropodists, and other specialists in order to best manage your condition.
